SYNOPSIS

Lumber foreman Dave Malkern is not only hard-pressed to meet his contract deadline but also concerned for his drunken and unreliable brother, Jim. Dave strongly advises Jim to reform for the sake of his sweetheart, Betty Somers, whom Dave secretly loves, but Dave is finally forced to dismiss his brother. Seeking revenge, Jim dynamites the sawmill--nearly killing Dave, but Dave cannot bring himself to release his brother to the angry lumbermen and allows Jim to escape.
