The film's working titles were His Dark Chapter and They All Want Something. Some sources listed the film's title as What a Man! . Sono-Art also produced a 1930 Spanish-language version of the film, Así es la vida , which was directed by George J. Crone and starred José Bohr and Lolita Vendrell (See Entry). SYNOPSIS

Overhearing a train conductor describe wealthy Mrs. Kilbourne's penchant for taking in hoboes, Wade Rawlins maneuvers her into hiring him as a chauffeur. The other members of the Kilbourne family object, and their butler, William, is particularly suspicious, but Wade wins them over one by one--especially elder daughter Eileen, who falls in love with him.
