SYNOPSIS

Marcia Wilbur, an incorrigible coquette, comes to visit her former schoolmate, Helen King, and starts a serious flirtation with the family physician, Dr. Bright. Enchanted with Marcia's ways, Bright proposes but is rejected by the fickle woman, who now turns her attentions toward John, Helen's husband. Feeling somewhat neglected by his wife, John is a ripe target for Marcia's seductions and agrees to elope with her. The adulterous couple is involved in a car accident, resulting in a head injury that leaves Marcia a half-wit. For Helen, anger turns to pity, and the spurned wife cares for her old friend while her repentant husband tries to reingratiate himself in her life. John rescues Helen from a burning house, and Dr. Bright performs an operation that restores Marcia's mind, thus opening the way for a new life for ... +
