SYNOPSIS

Russian Prefect of Police Turov orders his cossacks to raid a village he believes to be filled with revolutionaries and during the massacre, Katerina is whipped to death. Her sister Darya swears revenge and then escapes to England where she becomes a prima ballerina. When she returns to Russia with the ballet, Turov falls in love with her and arranges a meeting. She asks him to take her to a prison cell and then, seemingly flirting with him, she tells him to put his wrists in manacles. As soon as he does she begins whipping him, and then a guard-turned-revolutionary kills him. Katerina's vengeance complete, she escapes to America with her sweetheart ... +
