SYNOPSIS

Having been raised in boarding schools and having received funds from lawyers, Doris Wynne has no idea that her mother is Alys, the partner of infamous swindler "Python" Grant. Then, after Doris marries the wealthy Keith Bourne, Alys and Python decide to fleece him of his fortune by catching him in a compromising position with Alys and then blackmailing him. Keith refuses to pay, however, and so Alys, unaware that she will speak to her own daughter, phones Doris with the details. Despondent, Doris seeks her mother's counsel, and so arranges with the lawyers to meet with Alys. When the women get together, Alys soon realizes her relationship to her victims. She advises Doris to believe in her husband and then turns Python in to the police just before killing herself.
