SYNOPSIS

The affair between Jimmy Regan and wealthy socialite Mrs. Strong starts cooling down when he falls in love with her secretary, Ethel Hale. To buy a new dress that will impress Jimmy, Ethel steals some money from Mrs. Strong but then feels compelled to confess to her. Mrs. Strong threatens to prosecute if Ethel refuses to help her get a divorce, so Ethel agrees to be seen dining with Mr. Strong. At the restaurant, they bump into Jimmy, who immediately believes that he has lost his girlfriend to another man. Then, when Mr. Strong tells Ethel that his wife wants a divorce in order to be free to marry Jimmy, she runs back to her confused sweetheart and tells him her true relationship with Mr. Strong, after which the couple makes plans for a quick ... +
