SYNOPSIS

When Jude Clark falls in love with Vaughan McAndrews, a wealthy visitor to Lost Lake, she breaks her engagement to Dave Bean, who, smarting from the rejection, starts spreading gossip about her. He insists that she posed nude for an artist, and Vaughan, believing Dave, decides to return to the city. Then, furious at Dave, Jude's father Abner gets in a fight with him, and both men die when they fall off a cliff. Jude is taken in by Judge West, who makes her a partner in his mining operation. They find gold and splurge on a vacation in the city, where they accidentally meet Vaughan.
