SYNOPSIS

A landslide at the ruby mines of Mandalay destroys the friendship of Dr. Royal Sheldon and Jason Davies when both men fight over the possession of an unearthed ruby. Sheldon wins the stone, but by doing so he incurs the enmity of his friend Davies, who swears revenge. After Sheldon marries Anita, Davies entices her from her husband with costly gifts. Years later, when Sheldon's daughter Doris reaches adulthood, Davies attempts to lure her away too with precious gems, but Sheldon discovers the plot in time to save his daughter. Davies then plans to use Madam DeLong as a tool to ruin Sheldon, but she falls in love with the doctor and informs him of Davies' scheme. Sheldon decides to confront his tormentor, but Davies flees with the ruby and in the pursuit falls to his death from a precipice.
