SYNOPSIS

Jack Calvert bets four friends that he can travel from New York to Constantinople without a cent. Starting out penniless, Jack meets Betty Mason, disguised as a tramp, who has run away from her home to escape marrying the man designated by her father. Assuming that no woman could survive the arduous journey, Jack believes that Betty is a man and the two embark upon a series of adventures which take them to an island of cannibals and pit them against unscrupulous South Sea traders.
