SYNOPSIS

The Browns and the Stewarts are neighbors and good friends until Mr. Stewart makes a fortune manufacturing clothespins. Now socially ambitious, Mrs. Stewart urges her daughter Jane to snub the Browns' son Ralph's attentions and marry a wealthy man, but Jane is in love with Ralph and plans to elope with him.
