SYNOPSIS

Burton Meredith, a chemist working for the government, discovers the formula for a deadly gas, and Wu Fang, the leader of the Chinese underworld, sets out to rob him of the discovery. He kidnaps Bobby Brewster, the son of Burton's fiancée, Lois, and promises to return the boy unharmed if Lois can obtain the poison gas for him. Lois goes to Burton's laboratory and begs him for the formula; he refuses, and, in a frenzy, she steals a vial of gas and, before Burton can stop her, takes it to Wu Fang. The bottle does not contain the nerve gas, however, and Wu Fang prepares to torture her. Burton discovers the location of the Chinese hideout and rescues Bobby and Lois from death.
