SYNOPSIS

Cattle rustling and the mysterious deaths of hired help cause Bess Allison to write an old friend of her father's for help. The friend's son, Zip Wallace, posing as a tenderfoot, comes instead. Two ranch hands are found dead, each with two white pebbles beneath his head, and it is assumed that the killer and the rustler are the same man. Sam Harvey, the foreman, suspects Zip and sends him to the postmaster, from whom he learns that Harvey had formerly been associated with Bess's father and the sheriff. Harvey tries to frame Zip for another murder, but Ah Wung, the Chinese cook, realizing that Bess loves Zip, confesses to both murders, revealing that Harvey and the victims were stealing her stock; Harvey shoots Ah Wung and is caught by Zip trying to ... +
