SYNOPSIS

Wealthy Eastern banker John Garfield, his sister Matilda and daughter Helen travel West to Bill "Rawhide" Rogers’s ranch, which Garfield would like to buy. Accompanying the family on the trip is Claypool, Garfield’s financial adviser and an eager suitor of Helen. The family soon learns the dangers of the West when Garfield is kidnapped and a ransom is demanded. Unknown to Helen, Claypool is behind the kidnapping plot and arranged for local henchmen to take her father. After Bill, who has fallen for Helen, tells her not to pay the ransom, she, too is abducted. Bill searches for her and her father and finds them hidden in a cave. Bill confronts the kidnappers and eventually unmasks Claypool as the person behind the crime. Later, safely returned to the ranch, Garfield agrees to let Helen marry ... +
