Because this was a Nicole Kidman film, she took the role of "Dr. Miles Bennell" (changed to "Carol Bennell") and Daniel Craig portrayed what was originally the lead female character, "Becky Driscoll," which was changed to "Ben Driscoll." The original actors were Kevin McCarthy and Dana Wynter. Subsequent actors were Donald Sutherland ("Matthew Bennell") and Brooke Adams ("Elizabeth Driscoll") in 1978, and Terry Kinney and Meg Tilly in 1993. ...
