SYNOPSIS

Returning to her South American home from a college in the United States, Dolores Valdez falls in love with Dan Stone, the ship's doctor, who believes he has accidentally killed a man protecting Dolores. Dolores' uncle, Don Diego, tries to persuade her to marry Manuel Ortego, with whom he is engaged in a mysterious business. Dan is given sanctuary by Ortego on the condition that he cure a certain Bascom, who is ill; Dan and Dolores uncover the counterfeiting operation of her uncle, but they are observed by a giant Negro who captures Dan and then, becoming his friend, helps him escape.
