SYNOPSIS

Whistling Dick, a tramp fond of whistling classical tunes, arrives in New Orleans to discover that fellow hoboes plan to rob a plantation on Christmas night. They are aided by Richmond, a guest and suitor of Nadine, daughter of the house, who loves the overseer, Hunter. Dick refuses to join them, and on the road he meets Nadine and Hunter, who offer him a ride and give him a package containing by error a pair of stockings.
