SYNOPSIS

Rosa Mascani disobeys her father's command that she marry Ricci, and she is banished from home. Later she makes a vow to marry the first man she meets, who happens to be Antonio Tumullo, a truck farmer, leader of a family with whom the Mascanis have a deadly feud. Antonio's attempts to win the love of his wife are in vain, and she goes to live with her cousin in the Bronx, where her child is born.
