Sharon, Lynn, Phred, and Priscilla are in their last year of nursing school. Sharon falls in love with a patient who is dying. Lynn becomes involved with a Chicano revolutionary and runs away with him after he and his friends shoot a policeman. Phred administers an overdose of drugs, but a young doctor, Jim, saves her from punishment. Phred and Jim's romance is shattered, however, when she learns that he has performed an abortion on her roommate, Priscilla, who has had an affair with a drug addict. All four women eventually graduate and go their separate ...
