An account of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in Dallas, Texas, on November 22, 1963, utilizing television and newsreel clips, footage by amateurs, some stock shots, and shots of some re-created scenes. The film includes the President's and Mrs. Kennedy's activities just before and following their arrival in Dallas; the parade; the shooting, in which the President is killed and Gov. John Connally wounded; the succession to the presidency of Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson; the memorial and funeral services in Washington, D. C., and in Arlington National Cemetery; and the murder of the alleged assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald, by Jack Ruby in Dallas.
