       As announced in the 19 Nov 1969 DV, the picture was rated “M” (for mature audiences) by the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA).
       Commonwealth United, Inc. initially planned to release the picture in Feb 1970, the 19 Sep 1969 DV stated. However, it could not be determined if it opened prior to the week of 24 Nov 1970, when it was released at Chicago, IL’s Monroe Theatre, according to the 25 Nov 1970 Var.

SYNOPSIS

Vietnam War veteran Steve Michaelis returns to the United States to restore his relationship with his estranged brother Frank, who is the principal shareholder of a California racetrack. Steve arrives only to discover that his brother has been murdered by two Mexicans during a robbery. Steve believes that the robbery was merely a cover-up created by one of the other shareholders for the murder of his brother. Despite being followed by the suspicious Deputy Laswell, Steve forces shareholder Del Ware to admit that he took part in Frank's murder. Ware is murdered, however, before he can reveal the identity of his accomplices. With the assistance of Rita Armstrong, a former girl friend as well as a shareholder, Steve forces Deputy Laswell into revealing his complicity. Laswell is then shot by Sheriff Jones, who admits that it was he who planned Frank's murder; in the ensuing fight, Steve disarms and kills Jones.
