According to the 23 Jun 1928 Harrison's Report, the Baby Mine project began at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer as Red Pants, a story by Edward Sedgwick and Lew Lipton, but the story was substituted by the stage play, Baby Mine: A Farce in Three Acts, by Margaret Mayo. Story substitutions were not uncommon at M-G-M.
       The National Film Preservation Board (NFPB) included this film on its list of Lost U.S. Silent Feature Films as of February 2021.
