SYNOPSIS

Brought up by her grandfather, Col. Charles E. Cavanaugh, in a secluded area of North Carolina, Emmy Lou lives in ignorance of the outside world. When she visits Mrs. Kate Wimbleton still wearing her crinolines, she is a great success with the men, especially Davis Jordan and Augustus Biddle. Emmy Lou quickly takes to the jazz ways of the young people gathered at the Wimbletons', but she returns to her grandfather when she hears of his illness. Both Jordan and Biddle follow her, and Emmy Lou is unable to decide between them until Colonel Cavanaugh stages a pistol duel. Biddle cheats, and Emmy Lou chooses to marry ... +
