SYNOPSIS

Danny O'Neil returns from the sea to discover that his mother has been cheated out of her life savings by Jasper Thorne, an unscrupulous promoter of oil stocks. Going after Thorne, Danny takes his mother to the oil fields, where he meets Doris Laidlaw, a society girl with whom he falls in love. Danny catches up with Thorne and, after a little quick thinking, gets back his mother's money. Danny invests the cash in another well and strikes oil. Thorne learns of the strike and starts a fire near the well. Danny rescues Doris from a path of burning oil, and Thorne perishes in the fire he started. Doris and Danny seem destined for ...
