Through misadventure and bad luck, Larry O'Day loses his job on the metropolitan police force. Working on his own initiative, he goes after the Brady gang, a group of notorious thugs. John Granger, an internationally known detective, is called in on the case, and Larry notices that Granger bears a close resemblance to a certain well-known criminal. Larry trails the detective and discovers him in the act of looting a jewelry store owned by Thomas Egan, the father of Larry's sweetheart, Nelly. In a hard-fought fight, Larry subdues Granger and his two accomplices. He is reinstated to the force and marries Nelly.
